Advances in BioScience (ISSN 2583-0058) is committed to publishing high-quality, peer-reviewed research across all areas of the biological sciences. As an Open Access journal, all published articles are made freely available to readers worldwide without financial barriers.

To support the costs associated with this model, the journal levies Article Processing Charges (APCs) on accepted manuscripts. These charges help sustain the publication process and ensure the long-term accessibility and quality of published content.

APC Fee Structure

The APC for Advances in BioScience is USD 100.

This fee applies to all accepted articles, regardless of their length or complexity.

Article Processing Charge Covers 

  • Editorial Services: APCs contribute to the management of the editorial process, including manuscript submission, peer review coordination, and editorial support.
  • Production Costs: APC funds support formatting, typesetting, and preparation of accepted manuscripts for online publication, ensuring adherence to professional publishing standards.
  • Online Hosting and Maintenance: APCs support the operation and upkeep of our online platform, guaranteeing continuous global access to published articles.
  • Indexing and Archiving: Part of the APCs is allocated to ensure that published articles are indexed and archived in reputable databases and repositories, enhancing discoverability and long-term preservation.
  • Marketing and Promotion: APCs support the dissemination and visibility of published articles through marketing and outreach initiatives within the scientific community.
  • Journal Administration: APCs contribute to the ongoing maintenance and development of the journal platform, ensuring a high-quality experience for both authors and readers.

Payment Information

The responsibility for paying the APC typically lies with the corresponding author. Authors are encouraged to explore Open Access funding opportunities available through their institutions or funding agencies.

Detailed payment instructions will be provided upon manuscript acceptance. We accept multiple payment methods, including credit card, debit card, bank transfer, and wire transfer.

After making a payment, authors are requested to send a scanned copy of the receipt to editor@sospublication.co.in

Waiver and Discounts Policy

Advances in BioScience offers a limited number of APC waivers and discounts on a case-by-case basis to support equitable access to scientific publishing.

Discounts or waivers may be granted in the following cases:

  • Authors from Low- and Middle-Income Countries (LMICs):: Reduced APC rates are available for authors affiliated with institutions in LMICs, as defined by the World Bank.
  • Early-Career Researchers: Discounts may be offered to authors in the early stages of their careers (e.g., PhD students, postdoctoral fellows).
  • Authors with Limited Funding: In exceptional circumstances, full or partial waivers may be granted to authors who can demonstrate financial hardship.

We believe that Open Access publishing is essential for accelerating scientific progress and ensuring that research findings are accessible to all. By paying APCs, authors contribute to the sustainability of our Open Access model and help us to continue to publish high-quality research in the biological sciences.
