These Terms apply to all visitors, authors, reviewers, editors, and any other users of the Journal website and its associated services. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must immediately discontinue use of the Journal website.

Permitted Use of Published Articles
In accordance with the CC BY 4.0 license, users of the Journal are permitted to:
- Access and read all published articles free of charge
- Download articles for personal, educational, or research purposes
- Share and redistribute articles in any medium or format
- Cite articles in academic and non-academic works with proper attribution
- Include articles in text and data mining projects
- Incorporate articles in institutional repositories and preprint servers
When reproducing or redistributing articles, you must: (i) credit the original authors and the Journal; (ii) provide a link to the CC BY 4.0 license; and (iii) clearly indicate if any modifications were made.
Prohibited Uses
The following uses of the Journal website and its content are strictly prohibited:
- Using the website or its content for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable laws
- Misrepresenting authorship, affiliation, or the origin of published content
- Reproducing the Journal's trademark, logo, or brand identity without written permission
- Attempting to gain unauthorised access to any part of the website or its systems
- Uploading or transmitting malicious code, viruses, or harmful data
- Engaging in data scraping, harvesting, or automated extraction without prior written consent

The Journal and Publisher reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for any violation of these Terms, without prior notice, where such action is deemed necessary to protect the integrity of the Journal or its users.
Submission and Author Obligations
Authors submitting manuscripts to Advances in BioScience represent and warrant that:
- The submitted work is original and has not been published elsewhere in any language
- The work is not under simultaneous consideration by another journal
- All listed authors have made genuine intellectual contributions to the work
- All data, images, and materials included comply with applicable ethical standards
- All necessary permissions have been obtained for the use of third-party materials
- The research has been conducted in accordance with the principles of the Declaration of Helsinki (for human subjects) and relevant institutional animal care guidelines
- Any conflicts of interest and all sources of funding have been fully disclosed
Violation of any of the above may result in rejection of the manuscript, retraction of a published article, and formal notification to the author's institution. The Journal follows the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines in all cases of suspected misconduct.
Artificial Intelligence and Generative Tools
The use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools, including large language models (LLMs) and generative AI systems, in manuscript preparation is subject to the following requirements:
- Authors must disclose the use of any AI or LLM tool in the preparation of manuscripts, including but not limited to writing assistance, grammar correction, data analysis, image generation, figure preparation, or literature review
- Disclosure must be made in the Methods section or an Acknowledgements statement, naming the specific tool(s) used and describing how they were applied
- AI tools may not be listed as authors. Authorship requires accountability for the work, which AI systems cannot assume
- Responsibility for the accuracy, originality, integrity, and ethical compliance of all AI-assisted content remains solely with the human authors
- Authors must verify all AI-generated content for accuracy, hallucinations, and potential plagiarism before submission
- The use of AI to fabricate, manipulate, or misrepresent data, results, or citations constitutes research misconduct and will be treated accordingly

Peer Review Policy
Advances in BioScience operates a double-blind peer review process. Reviewers' identities are not disclosed to authors, and authors' identities are not disclosed to reviewers during the review process. All parties involved in the peer review process are expected to maintain strict confidentiality.
Reviewers are expected to:
- Provide objective, constructive, and timely assessments
- Declare any conflicts of interest and recuse themselves where appropriate
- Maintain confidentiality regarding submitted manuscripts
- Refrain from using unpublished information obtained through peer review for personal or professional advantage
Reviewer comments are provided to authors to support revision and improvement of submitted manuscripts. The Journal's full editorial process is described at: journals.sospublication.co.in/ab/editorial-process
Article Processing Charges (APCs)
Advances in BioScience operates on an open access model. Article Processing Charges (APCs) may apply upon acceptance of a manuscript. The current APC schedule is available at: journals.sospublication.co.in/ab/apc
APC waivers or discounts may be available for authors from low-income countries or in cases of demonstrated financial hardship. Requests for waivers must be submitted at the time of manuscript submission. Payment of APCs does not guarantee acceptance of a manuscript.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The Journal website and all content published therein are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Society of Open ScienceTM makes no warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to:
- The accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any published article or website content
- The fitness of the content for any particular purpose
- Uninterrupted or error-free operation of the website
- Freedom from viruses or other harmful components
The views expressed in published articles are those of the authors and do not necessarily represent the views of the Journal, its editorial board, or Society of Open ScienceTM. Scientific knowledge evolves continuously, and published content reflects the views, findings, and conclusions of the respective authors at the time of publication.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Society of Open ScienceTM, its editors, editorial board members, reviewers, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from:
- Your use of, or inability to use, the Journal website
- Reliance on any content published in the Journal
- Unauthorised access to or alteration of your data
- Any errors or omissions in published content
- Website interruptions, technical failures, or actions of third parties
This limitation applies regardless of the form of action and whether Society of Open ScienceTM has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Any dispute shall be resolved on an individual basis. Class action or consolidated proceedings are not permitted under these Terms.

The Journal website may contain links to third-party websites, databases, and services including but not limited to Crossref, Scopus, PubMed, DOAJ, CLOCKSS, LOCKSS, and the PKP Preservation Network. These links are provided for convenience only.
Society of Open ScienceTM does not endorse, control, or assume responsibility for the content, privacy practices, or availability of any third-party website or service. Access to external resources is at the user's own risk. Your use of third-party services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies.
Privacy and Data Protection
The collection and use of personal data through the Journal website is governed by our Privacy Policy, available at: journals.sospublication.co.in/ab/about/privacy
By using the Journal website and submitting manuscripts, you consent to the collection and processing of your personal data as described in the Privacy Policy. The Journal complies with applicable data protection legislation including:

Archiving and Preservation
Advances in BioScience is committed to the long-term preservation and accessibility of published content. All published articles are archived through:
- CLOCKSS (Controlled Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe)
- LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe)
- PKP Preservation Network
These arrangements ensure that published articles remain permanently accessible even in the event of journal discontinuation or technical failure. The Journal may also archive, index, and disseminate published content through other scholarly infrastructure partners to support the long-term availability of the scientific record.
Corrections, Retractions, and Expressions of Concern
The Journal is committed to maintaining the integrity of the scientific record. In accordance with COPE guidelines:
- Corrections (Errata): Will be issued for significant errors in published articles that do not affect the overall conclusions
- Retractions: Will be issued where published findings are unreliable due to misconduct or honest error that compromises the conclusions
- Expressions of Concern: May be issued where an investigation into potential misconduct is ongoing and readers should be aware of concerns
Authors who identify errors in their published work should contact the editorial office promptly at editor@sospublication.co.in.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms of Use are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any dispute arising from or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, India.
For users accessing the Journal from outside India, local laws may also apply. The Journal makes no representation that the website or its content is appropriate for use in all jurisdictions.
Any dispute shall be resolved on an individual basis. Class action or consolidated proceedings are not permitted under these Terms.
