If the manuscript contains material that is not owned by the authors, the authors must:

Obtain written permission from the copyright holder prior to submission and provide copies of such permissions to the Editorial Office upon request.
Properly acknowledge the source of the material and include the required attribution statement as specified by the copyright holder.
Clearly indicate within the article where third-party material has been used and provide appropriate attribution, including any licence conditions under which that material is reproduced.

Authors should note that material published under open licences (e.g., CC BY) may be reproduced without additional permission, provided attribution requirements are met. Material under more restrictive licences (e.g., CC BY-NC, CC BY-ND) may require explicit permission or may not be compatible with the journal’s CC BY 4.0 policy.

Marketing and Promotion: APCs support the dissemination and visibility of published articles through marketing and outreach initiatives within the scientific community.
Journal Administration: APCs contribute to the ongoing maintenance and development of the journal platform, ensuring a high-quality experience for both authors and readers.

Payment Information

The responsibility for paying the APC typically lies with the corresponding author. Authors are encouraged to explore Open Access funding opportunities available through their institutions or funding agencies.

Detailed payment instructions will be provided upon manuscript acceptance. We accept multiple payment methods, including credit card, debit card, bank transfer, and wire transfer.

After making a payment, authors are requested to send a scanned copy of the receipt to editor@sospublication.co.in.

Waiver and Discounts Policy

Advances in BioScience offers a limited number of APC waivers and discounts on a case-by-case basis to support equitable access to scientific publishing.

Discounts or waivers may be granted in the following cases:

Authors from Low- and Middle-Income Countries (LMICs): Reduced APC rates are available for authors affiliated with institutions in LMICs, as defined by the World Bank.
Early-Career Researchers: Discounts may be offered to authors in the early stages of their careers (e.g., PhD students, postdoctoral fellows).
Authors with Limited Funding: In exceptional circumstances, full or partial waivers may be granted to authors who can demonstrate financial hardship.

Article Formats: All published content is archived in multiple formats including PDF/A for long-term preservation, XML for structured data and indexing, and original submission files.
Supplementary Materials: All associated supplementary materials (e.g., datasets, figures, software code) are archived.
Metadata: Rich metadata is maintained for all archived content to enhance discoverability and context. This comprehensive metadata includes publication dates and version histories, author information and affiliations, subject classifications and keywords, and citation information and reference linking, all of which contribute to a more structured, discoverable, and accessible archive.

Author Self-Archiving
